HYDERABAD: A 45- year-old woman was attacked and bitten by stray dogs while walking in an isolated place at Rajendranagar late on Wednesday night, leading to severe injuries. The condition of the woman is said to be serious.

The woman, Komramma is a resident of Rajendranagar.

She had gone to one of her daughter’s house at Narsingi on Wednesday and returned late in the night.

At Upparapally, she consumed toddy and slept there for sometime.

In the wee hours, she woke up and was walking drowsily near Chintalmet when a group of dogs attacked her.

As Komramma cried for help, locals rushed to the spot and chased away the dogs.

She was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment in an 108 ambulance initially but was shifted to Fever Hospital from there.

The woman suffered injuries on her head, neck and other parts of the body.
