HYDERABAD: On the request of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee has advised the Income Tax officials to revoke the attachment orders issued against bank accounts of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

Earlier, the IT department issued a notice to the HMDA asking it to pay `383 crore. When it failed to pay up, it froze the accounts of the HMDA. On the advice of finance minister, the department de-froze the accounts.
