SRIKAKULAM: Protesters of Bhavanapadu Thermal Vyatrirekha Porata Samithi BTVPS) on Sunday announced construction of a memorial to salute martys of Kakarapalli police firing who were killed over setting up 2,640 MW of thermal power plant proposed by East Coast Energy Private Limited at Santabommali mandal's swamps in Srikakulam district on February 28 2011.
BTVPS leaders held a meet and decided to construct a memorial on swamp land, where police firing took place last year.
