HYDERABAD: In a joint operation, police and sleuths of Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights conducted raids on various stores and seized fake products bearing logos and stickers of reputed companies. Police also recovered material for creating similar brand logos, colour printing of original packaging.

According to police, one SP Gupta of Padmavathi Traders was involved in selling duplicate Vaseline products.

A police team led by LB Nagar assistant commissioner of police, Nagender Reddy carried out the raid and arrested Gupta.

The duplicate Vaseline products recovered were being sold under brand name ‘Vezeeline’ and ‘Valslin’.
