HYDERABAD: Junior doctors gheraoed the additional director of medical education (ADME) G Mohan Rao, who came to Gandhi Medical College to hold talks with them on Saturday. The junior doctors demanded the state government to send health secretary G Sudhir to hold talks with them instead, but Sudhir refused to come for talks.
Enraged at this, the junior doctors gheraoed Mohan Rao demanding the state government to send Sudhir for talks, who is the competent authority to address their issues.
Meanwhile, the health of six fasting junior doctors at Gandhi Medical College has deteriorated as their fast reached fourth day on Saturday. K Ravi Kumar one of the fasting doctors fell seriously ill as his glucose levels dropped.
