Thousands Take Dharmika Exams

TIRUPATI: As many as 27,200 students wrote the Sanathana Dharmika Vigyan exams conducted at 214 centres by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of TTD across the state on Sunday.

The exams were held between 9 a.m.

to 12 noon.

The highest number of students who wrote the exams were in Chittoor district.

As many as 12,904 (Dharma Pravesika - 6,822 and Dharma Parichayam - 6,082) took the exams.

In Tirupati alone, 26 centres were setup for the purpose.

Students of VI and VII classes wrote the Dharma Parichayam exam while those of VIII, IX and X took the Pravesika exam.

HDPP secretary Kasireddy Venkatareddy said that it was heartening to note that such a large number of students attended the exam, in spite of the syllabus being changed recently.

He commended the TTD staff and thanked the higher officials for their guidance in conduct of the exams.
