HYDERABAD: A cab driver stabbed to death a woman and her brother after being spurned by her at Banjara Hills in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The brother and sister are Kiran Kumar (27) and Prabhavathi (25), who were living at Lakshmi Narasimha Nagar in Yousufguda.

Hailing from Kandukur in Prakasam district, Prabhavathi separated from her husband and began living with her brother in Hyderabad for the last two years.

Kiran Kumar was also separated from his wife. Since the past few months, Prabhavathi was friends with cab driver, Shaikh Mastan, who also hails from Kandukur. Mastan used to frequent the house when the Prabhavati was alone. Kiran, who objected to Mastan’s ill-intention asked his mother to stay with them and Mastan could not meet Prabhavati. She too began avoiding him Suspecting that Prabhavathi was involved with another person, stabbed her with a knife several times on Wednesday morning.ter died instantly,” police said. Mastan surrendered to police.
