Two runaway girls rescued

HYDERABAD: The railway police on Wednesday rescued two minor girls from Secunderabad railway station, who had run away from their homes. Later, police shifted them to Bala Bandhu’s rehabilitation centre.

M Kantha Rao, SP, railway police said that they noticed the two girls at the Secunderabad station. During questioning, they said they had run away from homes due to family problems.

E Rajani (15), a native of Repalle in Guntur district ran away from her home as she was depressed due to family issues. Another girl, Banoth Pramila (13) studying in class X, ran away from her grandmother’s house to live with her parents who stay in Hyderabad. She boarded Satavahana Express.
