HYDERABAD: The railway police are on the look out for a dismissed Government Railway Police (GRP) constable for his alleged involvement in various thefts on trains and also having nexus with property offenders.

The dismissed constable, Chinta Srinivas, earlier worked with the Eluru railway police station.

According to officials, Srinivas’ activities were spread across Guntur, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Tenali while cases were registered against him in Guntur and Vijayawada railway police stations.

“If an offender gets caught by police, Srinivas ensures that the stolen property does not gets seized,’’ police said. He also used to pass information about those travelling in trains with valuables to property offenders.

Srinivas was also involved in a dowry harassment case and a bigamy case. Secunderabad Railway SP M Kantha Rao asked people to pass info about Srinivas on 9440700040, 9440904873.
