HYDERABAD: Mayor Mohd Majid Hussain on Thursday instructed the engineer-inchief to produce the original plan of the Sheikpet naala and directed the chief city planner to stop construction work taken up by Aditya Builders near the naala, till a final decision on the matter is taken by the corporation.
The decision was conveyed during the Standing Committee meeting of the GHMC held here.
Further, the committee has directed L Vandan Kumar, additional commissioner (H&S), to replace all missing bins immediately and to furnish a detailed report in the next meeting.
It was also decided that all open places owned by the GHMC, as well as corporation owned community halls will have to display boards duly mentioning the property as belonging to GHMC.
The mayor also stated that GHMC acquired lands should be free from encroachments and forbade district collectors from giving the land as pattas to anyone.
The standing committee also directed the zonal commissioners to submit complete information about the municipal commercial complex situated at Sainikpuri, ECIL X Roads, after a complaint was received that the building was constructed 5 years ago with no shelters, resulting in people using it as dust bin presently.
The zonal commissioners have been directed to take care of beautification of all the heritage buildings within the Greater Hyderabad Corporation limits.
