Of India, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises visited Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) RC Puram Plant on Monday.
He visited various manufacturing shops of Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines and Pumps and flagged off products manufactured in BHEL like Frame 6 Gas Turbine, HP Heaters for delivery to NTPC and OPAL, customers of BHEL.
On the occasion, he expressed his happiness and said, “The founding fathers of the nation had the vision to manufacture power equipment in India and started BHEL when India was still an underdeveloped nation.
And, employees of BHEL have proved them right by dedicating themselves to the company and making our nation self-sufficient in manufacture of power equipments.
Sundareshan was impressed by the performance of BHEL and RC Puram unit on quality and productivity fronts.
Shashank Goel, IAS, joint secretary, DHI, R Krishnan, ED, BHEL and R K Wanchoo, ED, PE and SD were also present to grace the occasion.
