State Human Rights Commission chairman justice Nissar Ahmed Kakru directed the chief secretary and director-general of police on Monday to submit a comprehensive report on the disturbances and Section 144 imposed in the old city of Hyderabad by November 7.
MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi moved the SHRC alleging that the police deliberately harassed a section of people while imposing Section 144 in the old city in the name of communal clashes.
Talking to reporters, Owaisi alleged that police harassed the residents of old city while imposing restrictions. Many people suffered due to traffic diversions and imposition of Section 144.
