The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) on Saturday decided to slap notices against illegal constructions in the city as per the provisions of the AP Urban Areas Development Act,1975.
Metropolitan commissioner Neerabh Kumar Prasad on Saturday convened a meeting with planning department officials, revenue and panchayat officials of Rangareddy and Medak districts to discuss various issues related to unauthorised buildings, layouts and regularisation of engineering colleges in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Area. The procedures to be adopted for taking action against these structures were also discussed and formats finalised.
The relevant notices will be sent to respective Panchayat secretaries by the HMDA. Prasad directed the planning officers to make time-bound plans to expedite the LRS and BPS pending applications and the engineering colleges’ applications at the earliest.
As per the act, no development of land within the development area shall be undertaken by any person or body.
