Four dead, 11 hurt in ORR mishap

One dead, four hurt in two other road accidents

Five persons died on the spot and 15 were hospitalised with serious injuries in three road accidents that took place in different places in the city on Monday.

While four persons died and 11 were injured in an accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Rallaguda village in the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police station limits while one person died on the spot and two were hospitalised in a road accident at Pedda Amberpet near Hayatnagar. In the third accident, two persons were injured and hospitalised in Neredmet police limits.

According to RGIA police inspector D.Durga Prasad, four persons —Raheena Begum, Satyanarayana, Seetamma and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy —died on the spot and 11 were hospitalised when their mini van collided head-on with an SUV on the ORR at Rallaguda village. Alerted by locals, police rushed to the spot and found 4 bodies there. They shifted the injured persons to a nearby hospital and the condition of them is said to be stable.

In another accident, one person died on the spot and two persons were injured after a car in which they were travelling fell down into valley at Pedaamberpet in Hayatnagar police limits. The body of the deceased is yet to be identified. Hayatnagar police inspector G Srinivas Kumar said that they rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.  In the third accident, 2 persons were hospitalised with serious injuries when a city bus hit their bike at Vinayaknagar, near the railway station, in Neredmet. According to inspector P Srinivas, the two bikers —Narasimhulu (25) and Narasimhulu (30) —received serious injuries in the accident and were taken to a nearby hospital. Their condition is said to be stable.
