Uppal police took three youngsters, who attacked and ransacked the office premises of a private school, into custody here on Thursday.
As many as 15 AISF activists thronged the Sri Sairam school located at Venkatreddy Nagar in Uppal and attacked the school to protest against class X student Mamatha’s suicide. The student had taken the extreme step after her class teacher chided her in front of all her classmates on Wednesday.
“We took three youngsters involved in pelting stones on the school premises into custody. They also damaged the furniture. In Mamatha’s commemoration, the school declared a holiday on Thursday. Stating that they were members of a student organisation, the youngsters trespassed into the school,” Uppal inspector Lakshmikanth Reddy said.
