Crafts and textiles exhibition

Nirmala Hastkalkar Vikas Society is organising Nirmal’s Hastakala mela handlooms & handicrafts expo- 2012 About 70 crafts persons are participating in this event from all over India.

Soft wood toys and dolls from Kondapally, Nirmal and Etikoppaka villages, hand paintings in Nirmal and Kalahasthi and metal castings and sheet metal art ware in brass-art ware, bidriware, carvings in wood and stone media, ceramic and crochet laces, Kalamkari block prints of Machilipatnam style, silver filigree, Banjara tribal embroidery, silver jewellery, and some of the traditional art forms of Andhra Pradesh will be on display. Traditional textiles in sarees and dress material from Mangalagri, Narayanapet, Siddipet,  apart from sarees from Venkatagiri, Gadwal, tie & dye weaving of Pochampalli, will also be there for patrons to choose from.

The exhibitions is being held at Siddharatha Nagar Community Hall, near Kalyanagar, SR Nagar, Vengalrao Nagar, till October 21.
