The Task Force police on Friday arrested a 35-year-old owner of a music shop for selling porn DVDs and pirated copies of latest Telugu, Hindi and English films.

They seized a total of 460 illegal DVDs and 30 Porno DVDs from him.

Task Force police raided Modern Musicals shop situated at Rezimental Bazar in Secunderabad and apprehended Chukka Shankar Rao.

A resident of Puranapool, Rao was found selling pirated DVDs of newly released movies such as Shirdi Sai, Avunu, Julayi, Andala Rakshasi, Brothers, Charulatha, Siva Thandavam and Rebel in addition to porn DVDs and old Telugu movies.

Shankar Rao started the shop 12 years ago.

Due to heavy competition, he was unable to make profits. He then decided to earn easy money. “He started purchasing pirated DVDs of newly released and old movies in different combinations from a person,” additional deputy commissioner of police P Rameshaiah said.
