Cocaine seized from driver of private bus

The police on Saturday arrested a driver of a private travels in connection with transporting cocaine from Goa. They seized five grams of cocaine worth Rs 30,000 from him.

The accused, Suren, is the driver of Paulo travels.

Around 10 am, police conducted a search and found the Cocaine packed in an envelope along with an English magazine.

During interrogation, Suren said that a Nigerian  had handed over the drug to him at Goa and he was supposed to hand it over to a customer at Nanal Nagar. Police said they were trying to find details about the Nigerian. The Golkonda police registered case against Suren under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) .
