A vacation bench of the High Court on Friday stayed the criminal proceedings pending against members of the managing committee of the AP High Court Employees’ Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society Limited.
The bench, while dealing with the writ appeal filed by the society challenging an interim order of a single judge, also stayed all further proceedings in the case.
In September this year, the single judge, in his interim order, stated that the court feels it appropriate that the additional registrar/ district cooperative officer consider initiation of c r iminal proceedings against the society’s managing committee members who are found responsible for the irregularities on 28 counts which included improper accounting and financial misfeasance
