Hyderabad will now represent India on the global start-up map. After hosting two editions of the biggest event for aspiring entrepreneurs in the city, here comes the third edition, The Global Startup Battle, presented by the Startup Weekend. The startup will be held in Hyderabad from November 16 to 18, at Progress Software in Madhapur.

Following the same basic model of any startup, this event welcomes anyone and everyone to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. This is then followed by participants forming teams and a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Every year domestic startup battles take place in 100 plus cities around the globe simultaneously. From Mongolia to South Africa, London and Brazil, people come together for weekend long workshops to pitch ideas, form teams, and start companies. What’s unique about this season? Well, the winner of this event will get automatic entry into the Global Startup Battle. After which they will have to upload a video of their idea, which goes through a global voting and the winners get a chance to fly to Rio and present their idea at the the Global Startup Battle to a panel of global vice-chairmen.
