Director fined for tinted glass

Tollywood director K Raghavendra Rao was among the many motorists who were fined for travelling in tinted-glass vehicles on Monday.

The daughter of a senior Telugu Desam Party leader and the son of a former minister and TRS leader were also fined.

During a special drive in the city on black film glasses on vehicles, the traffic police registered more than 500 cases at various places. In Jubilee Hills, Raghavendra Rao’s car was stopped and he was imposed a penalty of `100. “We registered at least 150 cases in Jubilee Hills,” said Jubilee Hills traffic inspector V Surya Chander Rao. The police also distributed pamphlets educating the drivers on the ban of tinted glasses.
