Police commissioner Anurag Sharma issued orders to impose traffic restrictions in view of the continuation of Ganesh immersion at Tank Bund on September 19.
Traffic coming from Katta Maisamma will be allowed to proceed from Telugu Talli flyover only; traffic coming from RP Road will go to Bible House, Karbala, Ranigunj, Nallagutta, Sanjeevaiah Park and towards Khairatabad flyover; traffic coming from MG Road will take diversion at Ranigunj, Nallagutta, Sanjeevaiah Park and towards Khairatabad flyover; no traffic will be allowed from Karbala Maidan to Telugu Talli flyover and no traffic will be allowed from Indira Gandhi Rotary to Telugu Talli flyover i.e. NTR Marg.
Three Injured As Idol Slips
As many as three devotees received serious injuries and were hospitalized on Wednesday after a Ganesh idol fell on them from a truck. The incident took place during an idol procession at Saikrishna Nagar in Uppal. As the procession reached Saikrishna Nagar, the idol slipped from the truck and fell on the devotees. Police noticed the incident and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital.
