“Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is the hope of the nation. He is the one who can make the country walk on the path of development. The youth of the nation want him to occupy the seat of prime minister.”

Those were the views of the youth of the city who came in large numbers to register their names to participate in Modi’s youth conclave ‘Nava Bharat Yuva Bheri’ scheduled for August 11.

A Muslim girl from the city, Shanabin Aslam, was the first person to register her name for the youth conclave. “I am impressed with Modi’s works and want to hear him live”, she said enthusiastically.

Inaugurating the registration centre, BJP state president G Kishan Reddy said the proposed conclave had become the talk of the country and people were eagerly waiting for the event to take place. He said such registration centres would be opened in every district of the state and would function till August 11. The money collected through registration would be donated towards Uttarakhand flood relief.

“The Congress-led UPA government has failed the nation and people are pinning their hopes on Modi now. The youth have a lot of expectations from him and believe that only he can take the nation on the path of progress,” says B.Tech student, Divya. “Modi has developed Gujarat and I am sure  he can do wonders if he is given an opportunity to lead the country,” she said.

Another B.Tech final-year student, D Nandini, who came with her younger brother,  said, “In the prevailing situation there is no one who can match Modi. Moreover, with his hard work and able leadership he has proved that he can take up any challenge and work for the development of the country.”

N Vishnudhar of Lingampally, an MBA student, had this to say: “I am noticing the development taking place in Gujarat under the leadership of Modi and have become a great admirer of him. I am following him on Twitter too. He is a proven leader. People, especially the youth, should support him and make him  prime minister.”

“Modi is a role model to the youth of the country. Opposition parties, especially the Congress, is not able to contain his growing popularity and is targeting him unfairly. The more they target him, the more the people will like him,” said software professional Balwinder Singh of SR Nagar.

“The way he responded during the Uttarakhand calamity was quite impressive and I will vote for his party,” he said.
