Holi: Cops slug it out

Three persons including a head constable attached to Octopus and a home guard were hospitalised with injuries sustained in a clash during Holi celebrations Wednesday.

The incident took place at Ambarnagar. According to police, head constable Prakash was drunk and misbehaved with a home guard, Venkataswamy, who is posted to the traffic police.

Following an argument, Venkatswamy threw Prakash to the ground and the latter retaliated with a stick. Venkatswamy’s son tried to intervene and jostled with Prakash. Later, the three lodged police complaints against each other.
