Textile traders felicitate CM

Claiming that he had not offered ‘coffee’ to any one to become chief minister but had become one with the blessings of AICC and UPA chief Sonia Gandhi, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said textile traders too have not offered ‘tea’ to anyone in the government to have VAT on textiles withdrawn.

Kiran made the observation in a lighter vein at his felicitation  by textile traders at Lal Bahudhur Stadium, here on Saturday.

Addressing a gathering, he said he was not afraid of anyone and people would not believe any allegation made against him.

His remarks came in the wake of TDP’s allegations that textile traders had offered kickbacks to him for having VAT on textiles withdrawn.
