Two houses burgled

Burglars manage to decamp with more than 20 tolas gold and seven lakh cash in two separate incidents at old Bowenpally here on Monday. In both the instances, the thieves set their eyes on locked houses.

In the first incident reported from Jupiter colony at old Bowenpally, the thieves stole 15 tolas of gold, and 1.5 lakh cash from the house of one Ramesh Kumar Agarwal (48), a businessman. Agarwal and his family had been on a trip to Tirupati, and on their return found the doors of the house open and their house ransacked. Agarwal lodged a complaint with Bowenpally police and a case has been registered.

In the second burglary, which took place at Yadireddy colony under Bowenpally police station limits, burglars  decamped with 5.5 tolas of gold and some silver valuables from the house of S Mahender Reddy (39). Reddy, an employee at a Maruti car showroom was away with his family to visit his native place Karimnagar. On his return he realised his house was burgled, and he lodged  a complaint with the Bowenpally police station, and a case has been registered.
