BJYM protests summer classes

The BJP Yuva Morcha city unit members were arrested by police when they tried to lay siege to the Narayana college situated at Ayyapa Society at Madhapur on Thursday. More than 150 BJYM members were taken into custody.

Earlier, BJYM members led by state president S Vishnuvardhan Reddy staged a protest in front of the college. They raised slogans against the college management and demanded the college suspend classes for intermediate students. Police were called in by the college management and when the protestors did not agree to disperse, the police forcefully arrested and shifted them to Madhapur police station. The protest continued for more than four hours.

BJYM state president said as per government rule colleges are not supposed to conduct classes during summer vacations, but corporate colleges violate the law.
