The Seva Mela 2013 is being organised as part of the Joy of Giving Week on October 5 and 6 at HITEX, Madhapur, Hitech City. The event will provide a platform for the people of the city to connect with over a 100 non governmental organisations (NGO)  who are working towards the improvement of children’s education and health besides the care and shelter for the elderly, among other issues.

The program will begin with the inaugural ceremony at 10 am on October 5 and will conclude the next day at 6 pm. The mela will be open for public from 10 am to 8 pm on both the days. Food stalls and variety of entertainment programs such as live music, skits, dramatics, dance program, and so on will be organised by the beneficiaries of the NGOs and volunteers.  Visitors can make donations in any form to the NGO of their choice. They may give groceries, clothes, books, money, papers, utensils, electronic waste and so on, which can be used by the under privileged. The event is being organised by United Care Development Services and is being promoted by United Way of Hyderabad, a volunteer led NGO.
