Kiran alerts administration as cyclone threat looms

With the very severe cyclonic storm, Phailin, further intensifying after attaining a maximum sustained speed of 225 kmph on Friday, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the preparedness and measures taken by various departments with chief secretary PK Mohanty, disaster management commissioner T Radha and other officials at a meeting here on Friday.

Apart from the existing cyclone shelters, various other sites have also been identified for more temporary shelters.
