First Air Costa flight flagged off by Kiran

Vijayawada-based Air Costa will initially run flights from Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

The first state-owned airlines  Air Costa started its commercial operations from Tuesday. Vijayawada-based Air Costa will initially run flights from Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy flagged off the first flight of Air Costa Airlines, bound for Vijayawada, from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Monday. 

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister expressed happiness over the first state-owned company starting the Airline services.

Union minister of state for finance, JD Seelam, state legislative assembly speaker Nandendla Manohar, minister for textiles G Prasada Kumar, and chairman, Air Costa, Lingamaneni Ramesh were also present on the occasion.

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the state government would come out with its own civil aviation policy soon. Under this policy, several incentives will be announced for the development of regional airports.
