Cyberabad police commissioner CV Anand inaugurated a blood donation camp at the police commissionerate on Thursday on the eve of the Police Commemoration Day.
While interacting with school students, Anand explained the working of weapons such as AK 47 gun, 9 mm pistol, SLR, riot gear equipment, breath analyser, illumination batons, speed gun, reflector jacket, disaster management equipment, communication VHF sets, fingerprints, etc.
Elocution and essay-writing competitions will be held on the topic ‘Police Vidhulalo Prajala Bhagaswamyam’ and also painting, cartoons, debating, free verse contests. An essay-writing competition for policemen on ‘Police role in ensuring security of women and children’ will also be conducted.
Nizamabad: A blood donation camp was organised here on Thursday for police personnel as part of the Police Martyrs Week.
As many as 38 police personnel donated blood on the occasion.
