2 Held for Running Brothel from Flat

HYDERABAD: Two persons, including a woman, were arrested on Monday for allegedly running a brothel from a flat in Jubilee Hills area here, police said.

A team of sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force (west zone) raided the flat on a credible information sourced from a website domain allegedly used by one of the accused, and also rescued two women sex workers.

The accused are identified as R Anjali, organiser of the brothel house, and K B Sudhakar, a sub-organiser, police said.

Police said Anjali, belonging to Visakhapatnam, came to Hyderabad about four months back for job purpose but did not succeed in getting one.

She decided to organise a brothel house due to financial hardships with the help of her friend Sudhakar, police said.

The duo took a flat and was procuring sex workers from Visakhapatnam and Kolkata.

Sudhakar added an account in a website “LOCANTO.IN” wherein he gave details of sex workers along with his phone number (while introducing himself as Johny) to contact him,’’ according to police.

Once a customer would contact him after going through the website, Johny alias Sudhakar would send photos of prostitutes through mobile messaging service ‘WhatsApp’ along with the ‘charges’, police said.

The arrested along with seized property and female sex workers were handed over to Jubilee Hills police station for taking necessary action.
