HYDERABAD: Former Union home secretary K Padmanabhaiah has lashed out at the Union government for its ambitious schemes without any clear design for implementation.

Delivering the Administrative Staff College of India foundation day lecture on ‘Redesigning administration to propel India into world league’ here on Thursday, he said that the government at the Centre had come up with some inspiring schemes like smart cities, Digital India, Make in India and river linking, and also had initiated some bold decisions like coal ordinance, FDI in defence and construction industry. “However there is yet no clear idea of where to go next and how. The new government still has no design process, let alone implement it,” he lamented suggesting that the government address five urgent issues of today.
