HYDERABAD: The grand finale of ‘Green Championship 2014’ under its ‘Conserve My Planet’ programme at Shree Swami Narayan Gurukul school, Chevella Road took place.

More than 300 green ambassadors between 10 and 13 years of age (along with 20 teachers) from 10 reputed Hyderabad schools participated with Suraj from Swami Narayan Gurukul being declared the ‘Green Champion 2014’ for Hyderabad. 

Conserve My Planet initiative by Schneider Electric is a novel educational programme conceptualised to address the critical energy crisis. It seeks to spread awareness among young minds about the importance of conserving energy and protecting the environment.

Being held in six cities across India, the ‘Green Championship’ is the concluding event of the ‘Conserve My Planet’ program for 2014, with Hyderabad being the third city to host its grand finale, and each city having its individual ‘Green Champion.
