HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board invoked the Revenue Recovery (RR) Act by confiscating mobile assets for non-payment of dues from an MSB defaulter under the jurisdiction of O&M division No 10 in Saheb Nagar.
The occupants of the premises of R Sarojini, H No: 4-53, Vikas Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, with CAN No 024254946, already under disconnection, had been served red notice. Form-I under the RR Act was issued for seizing assets but still the customers had failed to pay the dues of ` 3,55,246.
Under the RR Act, moveable assets proportionate to the dues like bikes, computer systems, fridge etc were seized in the presence of Chief General Manager, revenue circle, VL Praveen Kumar and other officials.
HMWS&SB Managing Director M Jagadeeshwar reiterated that the board would not tolerate defaulters and urged consumers to make payments promptly.
