HYDERABAD: Complaints against reckless driving by RTC drivers and rude behaviour by conductors, harassment in buses and loss of luggage are most common but there is no system in place to address them.
However, in about a month from now, commuters would be able to lodge complaints and even by sending just an SMS. The corporation is going to launch a phone number for the purpose.
Numerical codes will be given to nine categories of complaints. An acknowledgement mail will be sent to the complainant upon receiving the message and within specified time period, officer concerned would inform the passenger about the action taken. The code sheet is planned to be displayed behind driver’s seat.
In case the officer fails to take action, the complaint will be forwarded to higher officials. The details of the phone numbers would be informed by the corporation in a few days.
