Minor Sexually Assaulted in City

Two minors were sexually assaulted in different places in the city on Saturday. A watchman allegedly raped a 11-year-old girl who was taking bath at her house under LB Nagar police limits while a neighbour tried to rape a minor under Raidurgam police limits.

According to LB Nagar police, 50-year-old Butchaiah, a native of Nalgonda, is a watchman at an apartment located at Gunti Janghaiahnagar in LB Nagar. Butchaiah noticed a girl taking bath at her house  near his apartment.

He forcibly gained entry into the bathroom and allegedly assaulted her sexually. As the girl started screaming, Butchaiah ran away from the place, police said.  The victim’s parents lodged a complaint with the LB Nagar police. Based on the complaint, police registered a rape case against Butchaiah. In another incident, 30-year-old Venu  tried to rape his six-year old neighbour who was playing in front of the house, police said. He took her into the house forcibly and tried to sexually assault her. When the girl started screaming he fled from the place. Meanwhile locals who noticed this rescued her.
