Kidnapped Baby Traced in Karimnagar

A one- and- half- year-old baby girl, who was kidnapped by unknown couple at Rezimental Bazar in Gopalpuram police limits six days ago, was traced and rescued from Karimnagar on Friday. The police arrested three persons who were involved in kidnapping the baby girl.
The baby Jyothi alias Chitti, is the daughter of Lakshmi and Chandra Reddy, residents of Venkatreddypalem of Ranga Reddy district.
According to police, Lakshmi after a fight with her husband walked out of the house along with Jyothi and has been staying at Imlibun Bus station for the past five days.
On December 27 night, an unknown couple asked Lakshmi to work as a maid in their house in the city. Though she refused initially they convinced her to join as maid at their house.
``The couple took Lakshmi and Jyoti to Sulabh Complex at Rezimental Bazar and asked Lakshmi to refresh by taking bath. When Lakshmi went to take bath, the couple fled away with the baby girl,’’ police said.
Based on the complaint lodged by Lakshmi, police registered a kidnap case against the couple and took up investigation.
The police on Friday traced the baby girl from a family in Karimnagar.
