A man’s body parts were found stuffed in a gunny bag in Sanathnagar police station limits on Tuesday night. Police found the gunny bag during patrolling. The body has been identified as that of Siddhu, an autorickshaw driver.
According to police, Siddhu was allegedly killed by Ravi, a daily wage labourer who suspected Siddhu of having an illicit relationship with his wife. He killed Siddhu, cut his body parts and stuffed it in a gunny bags, they said.
The torso and the lower part were found in a gunny bag near Borabanda area.
A murder case has been registered and efforts are underway to nab Ravi.
Boy Drowns at NSP Canal
Guntur: A 13-year-old boy, Sivaramakrishna, drowned while swimming at NSP Right Canal near Adigoppula village of Durgi mandal in Guntur district Wednesday.
According to sources, the ninth class student went out for swimming in the canal along with three other friends.
Farmers who were working nearby saw the boys drowning and came to their rescue.
Sivaramakrishna drowned even as the other boys were saved by the farmers.
