Congress rebel and Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari has made a blistering attack on YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, saying that the latter trusts only two advisers and disregards others.
“I had cautioned Jagan long ago about the Congress mark of harassment. I told him that the Congress would crush him if left the party. But Jagan said he had the support of 130 MLAs and 15 MPs but only 15 MLAs and two MPs followed him. Jagan has always been trusting only two persons who are misleading him,” Hari told reporters here on Thursday.
Claiming that he had a clean image without any corruption or any other criminal cases, he said no one could point an accusing finger at him. “Digvijay Singh asked CID officials to bring to his notice any pending case against me. After verification, the officials told the Congress high command that there were no complaints against me. But Jagan’s issue is different,” he said.
He alleged that Jagan was hand-in-glove with the Congress high command and helping it divide the state. He claimed that only himself and fellow MP, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, were aware of the reasons for Jagan’s support to the Congress at the Centre but refused to elaborate.
He divulged the Congress had planned to offer the shipping portfolio to Jagan after his election as Lok Sabha member but dropped the proposal following allegations of financial irregularities by him.
Regretting that he was not invited to the AICC meeting to be held in Delhi on Friday, the MP said that as AICC member he had every right to participate in the meeting and no one can prevent him from doing so. He said he would be going to New Delhi along with other AICC members, who were not invited to the meeting, to register their protest before the AICC.
“By not denying us entry, the Congress has proved that there is no internal democracy in the party,” he said.
