Visakhapatnam-Kollam weekly express will be introduced from Visakhapatnam with effect from January 30.
The train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 09.00 hrs on Thursdays and arrive in Kollam at 14.10 hrs on Fridays.
In the return direction, it will depart from Kollam at 21.00 hrs on Fridays and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 01.35 hrs on Sundays.
En route, this train will stop at Duvvada, Yellamancheli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Baptla, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jollarpattai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur and Kayankulam stations in both the directions.
Vizag-Mumbai LTT to Run Daily
Visakhapatnam-Mumbai LTT Express will now operate daily instead of four days a week earlier. Accordingly, the train will depart from Visakhapatnam on all days with effect from January 30. In the return direction, it will depart from Mumbai LTT on all days with effect from February 1.
Special Checks in MMTS Trains
As many as 381 persons were prosecuted during a special drive against men travelling in ladies compartment etc, in MMTS trains. The Railway Protection Force conducted a special drive in MMTS trains and stations on Secunderabad-Lingampalli section. During this drive, 143 persons were prosecuted for various offences.
