Four police personnel from Andhra Pradesh have been chosen for President’s Police Medal for distinguished service and one for the Correctional Service Medal for meritorious services. Twenty six policemen were awarded Police Medals and an ASI working with RPSF, Secundrabad, was also awarded police medal.

Those who were awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service are Additional DGP and chairman of SLPRB J Purnachandra Rao, DIG Visakhapatnam Range P Umapathi, DIG CID T Yoganand and DIG Kurnool Range T Murali Krishna.

Correctional Service Medal for meritorious service was awarded to Prasad Rao Gaddam, Head Warder in Giddalur sub-jail, Giddalur.  The 26 Police Medal awardees from the state include Vikram Singh Mann (DIG Eluru Range), Neredla Shivashankar Reddy, (SP, East Godavari), Ghattamneni Srinivas (SP Intelligence), D Nagendra Kumar (SP Mahbubnagar), A Satyanarayana (JD ACB), Vishwanath Ravinder (SP Karimnagar), P Rajendra Prasad (Addl SP Shantinilayan Greenlands), M Chakradhar Rao (Addl Commandant 8th BN APSP), P Seetharam (SQ Commander/Addl Commandant, Greyhounds), P Venkata Rami Reddy (DSP Narasaraopet), M Dayananda Reddy (SDPO, Anantapur), KV Raghava Reddy (DSP Madanapalle), Ch Bhadraiah (DSP), Devender Singh (DSP, Intelligence), M Muniramaiah (DSP Hyderabad rural), B Ramakrsihna (Assault Commander, Greyhounds), P Veeranjaneya Reddy (Inspector Nellore CCS), Shaik Buran Shariff, (SI, Kalyani Dam Tirupati), E Manohar (SI, Cyberabad), B Venkata Rami Reddy (Commandant), C Hanmanth Reddy (ASI, SOT cyberabad), N Shiva Kumar (ARSI, 4th BN APSP), M Srinvasa Rao (ARSI Vijawayada city), Ganesh Prasad (SI, Intelligence), M Iqbal Hussain (Head constable Vijayawada city).
