Following the success of the first season, ‘Nokia Lumia – Your Wish is My App’ returns with a new season. The app reality TV show that kindled the imagination of app enthusiasts across India last year, will include consumers and developers from across the globe. As the name suggests, the campaign will give consumers the opportunity to submit mobile application ideas that have the potential to be developed into successful apps for the Windows Phone Store and stand a chance to become a lakhpati.
The show that received 38,000 app ideas last year is looking forward to a pool of 50,000 app ideas for season two. 30 shortlisted apps will be showcased in a nine-episode reality TV show which will be aired on NDTV Prime, starting mid-March. In addition to the grand prize of `10 lakhs, two runners up will be awarded `5 lakhs and `2 lakhs respectively and three lucky winners will stand a chance to win the new Nokia Lumia 1520. The winners will be judged on parameters such as the originality, relevance and practicality of implementation.
The hunt for the next killer app will be judged by a panel including Rajiv Makhni, NDTV managing editor and tech guru, Vishal Gondal, entrepreneur and angel investor, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder and executive vice vhairman, Naukri.com, Vikas Khanna, New York-based celebrity chef and Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin.
