Eamcet Results to be Declared on June 9

The first phase of Eamcet counselling for admissions to engineering colleges will tentatively begin on June 29.

HYDERABAD: The first phase of Eamcet counselling for admissions to engineering colleges will tentatively begin on June 29.

The Eamcet results will be released by 4:30 pm on June 9 as scheduled.

It may be recalled that according to the Supreme Court’s orders the admission process should be completed by and classes should begin on August 1.

With the unusual scenario ahead, that the entrance test conducted in one state and admissions have to be held in two different states, officials are working out new modalities for smooth conduct of the counselling process.

The decision was taken at a meeting held between AP State Council for Higher Education chairman L Venugopal Reddy and Eamcet-2014 Committee officials here on Thursday. Technical education commissioners of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states Ajay Jain and Sailaja Ramaiyar respectively were also present at the meeting, a senior official of  APSCHE informed Express.
