HYDERABAD: The department of posts is launching Logistics Post service on four routes across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from June 16.
The routes are Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Chennai, Hyderabad-Bangalore, Hyderabad- Adilabad and Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam.
The Logistics Post vehicles will be operated daily on all the routes except on Route-3 where the vehicle will be operated on alternate days.
Mainly meant for corporate companies, Logistics Post moves goods, packages and consignments from place to place on specific routes across the country. Customers can send their consignments in full truck-load, less than a truck-load, one parcel or multi-parcels but the minimum load should be 50 kg. The tariff will be based on weight, volume and distance.
The advantages of Logistics Post are it will be a government of India service, will have the most competitive point-to-point pricing and prompt delivery time.
For bulk booking, it will be free pick-up, door delivery and credit facility. Apart from this, department of posts will also offer full truck-load (FTL) service to any location across the country. The four routes are:
Route-1: Hyderabad, Choutuppal, Narketpalli, Suryapet, Vijayawada, Guntur, Chilakaluripet, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Sullurpet and Chennai.
Route-2: Hyderabad, Shamshabad, Shadnagar, Jadcharla, Kurnool, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Penukonda and Bangalore.
Route-3: Hyderabad, Medchal, Toopran, Ramayampet, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Armoorm Nirmal and Adilabad.
Route-4: Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Yelamanchili, Tuni, Annavaram, Kattipudi, Jaggampeta, Rajahmundry, Ravulapalem, Tanuku, Eluru, Hanuman Junction, Gannavaram and Vijayawada.
