SCR to Run Special Train from Sec’bad to H Nizamuddin on June 22

The South Central Railway will run two premium superfast special trains between Secunderabad and Hazrat Nizamuddin, to clear extra rush of passengers during summer season.

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway will run two premium superfast special trains between Secunderabad and Hazrat Nizamuddin, to clear extra rush of passengers during summer season.

Accordingly, Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin premium special train will depart from Secunderabad at 11:55 am on June 22 (Sunday) and arrive in Hazrat Nizamuddin at 01:25 pm the next day. In the return direction, it will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 07:20 p.m. on June 23 (Monday) and arrive in Secunderabad at 08:55 pm the next day.

These trains will have only five stoppages enroute viz., Ramagundam, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra Cantonment.

Premium special train is a fully reserved service aimed to meet the heavy demand for Rail travel during busy season on popular routes. It is primarily targeted at that segment of passengers, who are willing to pay premium fare for confirmed berths at the time of booking itself availing enhanced standards of service.

The fare structure for this premium special train is variable and follows a dynamic pricing model. The fare will also include catering charges.

The booking of tickets can be done only through IRCTC’s portal on internet. Tickets will not be issued manually at reservation counters.

However, vacant berths available after charting will be offered at current day booking counters at the train originating stations. Only confirmed tickets will be issued for premium trains.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during summer season, the South Central Railway will run one special train from Kakinada Town to Secunderabad and four Janasadharan special trains between Secunderabad and Kakinada and from Kakinada  to Guntur.

Kakinada-Secunderabad special train will depart from Kakinada at 6 p.m. on June 15 (Sunday) and arrive in Secunderabad at 04:45 am the next day.

Enroute, this special train will stop at Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Kazipet. 

Secunderabad-Kakinada Town Jansadharan special train with all general second class coaches will depart from Secunderabad at 10:40 p.m. on June 13 (Friday) and arrive in Kakinada Town at 11 a.m. the next day.

In the return direction, the train will depart from Kakinada Town at 7:15 p.m. on June 15 (Sunday) and arrive in Secunderabad at 09:45 a.m..

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Nadikudi, Pidugurala, Sattenapalle, Guntur, Nambur, Nagarjuna Nagar, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations in both the directions.

Kakinada-Guntur Jansadharan special train  will depart from Kakinada Town at 1 p.m. on June 14 (Saturday) and arrive in Guntur at 7:15 pm. 

In the return direction,  the train will depart from Guntur at 10:10 p.m. on June 14 (Saturday) and arrive in Kakinada Town at 5:20 a.m. the next day.

Additional Coaches 

The SCR will also temporarily augment the following express trains with additional coaches.

Guntur-Vikarabad Palnadu Express will be augmented with one AC chair car from June 16 to 23.

Kakinada-Secunderabad Cocanada Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier from June 15 to July 1 and Secunderabad- Kakinada Cocanada Express will also have an additional AC II Tier coach from  June 16 to July 2.
