658 Water Board Staff Regularised

The regular appointment letters for GPEs were handed in the presence of HMWS&SB Managing Director J Syamala Rao.

HYDERABAD: Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Monday handed over regular appointment letters to about 15 candidates who were regularised under the recently held Special Recruitment for General Purpose Employees (GPEs) in Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).

The regular appointment letters for GPEs were handed in the presence of HMWS&SB Managing Director J Syamala Rao.

In all, 658 candidates have been given regular appointment. They include 450 GPEs for Water Supply Branch and 208 General Purpose Employees for Sewerage Branch.

Speaking on the occasion, Narasimha Reddy said that in any organisation, welfare and safety of employees is very important.

The HMWS&SB managing director  said the lower-rung employees are the backbone of the organisation and now all the regularised employees are part and parcel of the Water Board.
