HYDERABAD: Weathermen have predicted rain or thundershowers at a few places in Andhra and Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh, and at isolated places in Telangana state in the next two days.

Hyderabad received light showers and the sky remained largely cloudy on Friday. According to the forecast for Hyderabad, the sky will remain partly cloudy with chances for rain or thundershowers in parts of the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 38 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

Though rain occurred over a few places in the two states, heat wave conditions prevailed in the districts of Hyderabad, Medak, Nizamabad and Warangal in Telangana on Friday. A maximum temperature of 40 degrees was recorded at Rentachintala and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh whereas Adilabad in Telangana too recorded a maximum of 40.

In coastal Andhra, Bapatla in Guntur district received the maximum rainfall of 3 cm. Rayalaseema region recorded no rainfall.   In Telangana, Bejjanki, Dharmasagar, Sircilla, Chennaraopet, Hanamkonda, Vikarabad, Parkal, Mahbubnagar, Chintakam and Hasanparthy recorded a rainfall of 2 cm each.
