YSRC leader Bhooma Nagi Reddy’s son escaped unhurt after his car caught fire at Begumpet on Wednesday. The front portion of the car was partially damaged in the mishap.

According to fire service staff, the control room received information that a SUV in which Bhooma Nagi Reddy’s son was travelling had caught fire. A fire tender reached the place and put off the flames.

“Minutes after he noticed flames from the front end of the car, he got down,” fire officials said. They suspect that the fire erupted  due to overheating and short circuit in the engine.

It may be recalled that a few weeks ago, the victim’s mother and YSRC MLA from Allagadda Bhooma Shobha Nagi Reddy died after her car overturned in Kurnool.
