RTC Bus Catches Fire

A Pallevelugu bound RTC bus was engulfed in fire on the Chintal flyover in Warangal town on Saturday. The bus belonged to the Torrur depot and was coming from Nekkonda. On the flyover, the driver Yadagiri noticed smoke and fire from the diesel tank. He alerted the 40 passengers in the bus.

WARANGAL: A Pallevelugu bound RTC bus was engulfed in fire on the Chintal flyover in Warangal town on Saturday. The bus belonged to the Torrur depot and was coming from Nekkonda. On the flyover, the driver Yadagiri noticed smoke and fire from the diesel tank. He alerted the 40 passengers in the bus.

Soon fire engulfed the whole bus. Meanwhile, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames. No passenger was hurt.

The passengers, however, alleged that when they alerted the driver about feeling suffocated inside the bus, he did not pay heed.They also lodged a complaint with the Mills Colony police station. Based on their complaint Yadagiri was taken into custody by the police. Meanwhile, RTC authorities also initiated a probe.
